In the Evacuated Solar Tubes System, each evacuated solar tube consists of 2 glass tubes telescoped. It is created a vacuum ambient by being absorbed the air between two tubes. So it is minimised any heat loss. The outer tube is made from borosilicate which is a durable material to shocks (even the hail shocks of 25mm). The inner tube is also made from the same material.
