Android:-

This reduction clearly reveals the demand and customer’s preference shift to an economical smartphone. Even though the promotion of iPhone 5C aims to target a huge market, most of the customers didn’t have enough buying capacity to afford such devices. Therefore, iOS lovers are still desperately waiting for the next launches. Which would lead them to quickly pay for iOS based device and make the rest of the quarters more affluent, depending on the timing of their release.
Windows Phone:-
The performance of windows phone is relatively better than the first quarter, showing the selling units of 7.4 million. Though the figure of total shipments seeing a drop in comparison with the same quarter in the previous year by 9.4%. The primary growth of windows phone is primarily leading by Nokia, apart from a considerable growth observed by Android-based Nokia X shipments in Q2 2014.
Blackberry:-
Blackberry OS also managed to fuel its market share in the Q2 of 2014, even though it holds below the level of one percent of market concentration. However, it will bring pleasant impacts over the maker of Blackberry-based smartphones, as a majority of the shipments are mainly comprised of Blackberry’s 10 devices. The second quarter of 2014 only portrayed the growth oriented one for the Blackberry 10 since its launching in 2013.
