Introduction
It is designed for the termination of primary
winding leads at the front plate of fluid-filled
apparatus rated at either 8.3/*4.4kV, *5.2/*6.3kV

Application
For American transformer inlet and outlet
bushing interface, fixed on the box, contact
bushing insert and rotatable feedthru insert. The
bushing insert connects to a universal bushing
well and is used in field installation and
replacement of loadbreak elbows.

General
Bushing insert threads into a universal bushing
well to provide the same function as an integral
loadbreak bushing. Using bushing inserts makes
field installation and replacement possible and
efficient. Bushing inserts and elbow connectors
comprise the essential components of all
loadbreak connections.
An internal hex broach allows for positive torque
controlled installation. Using the optional
installation torque tool the bushing insert can be
properly tightened into the bushing well without
the fear of accidentally breaking the bushing well
stud.

**0A *5kV class Loadbreak Rotatable Feedthru
Insert
General
Rotatable feedthru insert is used to provide dual
bushings from a single apparatus bushing well. It
makes converting radial-feed transformers to
feedthru transformers and adding in-line arrester
protection both easy and practical. Its patented,
built-in torque-limiting ratchet prevents operators
from accidentally breaking bushing well studs
during installation. The ratchet feature also allows
the operator to rotate the feedthru insert **0° to
orient it in the best position for the application. The
bail assembly supplied with the kit can be used to
lock the feedthru in position.
The rotatable feedthru insert incorporates an all
copper current path and peroxide-cured EPDM
insulation and semiconducting shield. When
mated with comparably rated products, the insert
provides a fully shielded and submersible
loadbreak apparatus connection.
