1﹑Material Summary and Applications

***5 belong to the low carbon duplex stainless steel. Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.  Even after welding or high temperature heating, it can remain a certain number of austenite in the organization. It is difficult to form a single phase ferrite.

Widely used in marine engineering, water treatment, mechanical instruments, chemicals transport equipment, shipping heat exchanger equipment, fitting     and piping, methanol synthesis reactor, amine acrylic mould, polypropylene glycol cooling coil, oil tank heating coil and so on.

4﹑Corrosion Resistance

   *0Cr*2Ni5Mo3N duplex steel resistance to pitting corrosion in chlorine environment is better than ***5Mo duplex  and **6L.

  *0Cr*2Ni5Mo3N duplex steel has better crevice corrosion resistance than *0Cr*8Ni5Mo3Si2 duplex steel and similar to austenitic stainless steel **6L

. *0Cr*2Ni5Mo3N steel contains nitrogen. After heating to high temperatures, it remains a large amount of the austenite phase.

When welding high temperature heat affected zone cooling, the ferrite will transform to austenite phase quickly.  This two phase structure reduces the   intergtanular  corrosion of steel.

In most media, the anti-uniform corrosion performance of stainless steel is better than **4L steel and **6L steel. The combination of mechanical

 properties and corrosion resistance make the steel high strength.
