Product Description

2kd engine produces *5 kW (**1 hp; **2 PS) at ***0 rpm and *6.5 kg⋅m (**0 N⋅m; **2 lbf⋅ft) of torque at ********0 rpm with 4 speed Automatic ECT transmission without intercooler and **0 N⋅m (**8 lb⋅ft) of torque at ********0 rpm with manual transmission without intercooler and *8 kW (**8 hp; **0 PS) at ***0 rpm and **5 N⋅m (**0 lb⋅ft) of torque at ********0 rpm for the intercooled version. Toyota Thailand, has updated the turbocharger to variable nozzle turbo (VNT) with intercooler. This increased the horsepower to **6 kW (**2 hp; **4 PS) at ***0 rpm and torque to **3 N⋅m (**3 lb⋅ft) at ********0 rpm. 

The compression ratio is *8.5:1. The Redline of this engine is ***0  RPM. This engine also uses D*4D Common Rail (Common rail direct fuel injection) technology. The manufacturer's default injection timing is 6.5 deg before TDC. 

 

This engine is used in the   Hilux,   Fortuner,  Innova and  Hiace. In some Central and South American countries, Toyota also offered this engine on the ********6 4Runner in limited quantities.
