We just recently acquired the famous Novello mine, the only mine where Alexandrite has been known to exist in Zimbabwe. 1) The mine produces mostly specimens but of very fine quality. The colour change from a briliant green to a bright purple is very distinct in these specimens. The sizes of the specimens when stripped of the matrix is from about 2grams to as large as *0grams. The mine produces almost all the shapes of natural alexandrite. Prices and terms will be negotiable from stone to stone. 2) The mine also produces some brilliant clear- close to clear gem quality stones but these are normally of small size avaraging **3 carat. These may be sold as raw uncut of if there is a gem cutter who may be interested to facet some of our stones for a price, we are very interested. 3) Chrysoberryl:- The mine also produces this non-colour changing variation of alexandrite in good gem quality and of much larger sizes going into several grams. Again, prices and terms will be on a per-stone basis.
