Now Provides Allied Telesyn compatible SFPs Toronto, ON - GAO Tek Inc. has released a series of small form-factor pluggable transceivers (SFPs) which are **0% compatible with Allied Telesyn. SFPs can be considered as an upgraded version of Gigabit Interface Converters or GBICs. Unlike GBICs which use SC fiber optic interfaces, these SFPs use LC interfaces. The size of an SFP is only about half that of GBIC.
