According to type of work piece and it’s requirements, two
following burnishing operations can be carried out.
Station
1 Preliminary
working: :
Elimination of deformations at the meshing surface of the work
piece by meshing with a diamond-coated counter-gear. This process
is particularly suitable for the rework of noised-analyzed
not.o.k.-.parts. Here the “nicks” are cutted away without
bringing up high forces. A subsequent brushing operation
guarantees a clean surface of the part, before it is guided to
the station 2.
Station
2 Finishing:
Conventional *-gear-burnishing process for the elimination
smallest nicks and damages (till to 0,2mm). Both operations can
be combined with each other or they can be driven separately. In
general it is recommended to let the part run both
processings.
