Operating principle

 

 

The automatic air vent can be used for manual or automatic venting of sealed hydronic systems. With the air is collected in the top of the valve, the pressure is rising, when exceed the system pressure, the air would make the water surface fall, the floater fall too. For normal automatic venting, open cap for a slow release of air. A fast release of the air will allow dirt or scale in the water to plug the operating mechanism. The small hole in the side of the cap allows air to escape. To shutoff automatic air vent, screw cap down tight. Usually, the cap should be open. Also can be matched with shut-off valve to enable the easy examine and repair.

 

 Application

In HVAC systems, the heated water release gases such as Hydrogen,Oxygen etc. have bad effect on system, if not released in time, it would resulted consequences such as: oxidation lead to corrosion, water circulation blocking lead to radiator not working, noise, vortex cavitation and so on, so air vent valve application is necessary
