Description:
HZ-Ag*5C is free-flowing and suited for general purpose work.
Its broader
melting range is helpful wherr clearances are not uniform.
During
melting, it passes from the solid state to a mushy or plastic
state and progressively to a liquid. If heated slowly through this
plastic state(**7°C***1°C),
the liquid portion may flow from the
solid
portion. This causes a separation of the alloy into a low-temp
melting(fluid) portion and a high-temp melting(solid)
portion. This phenomenons
is called liquation. The high-temp
melting portion will melt
only above the normal brazing temperature os HZ-Ag*5C. For
this
reason, HZ-Ag*5C should be heated rapidly through the melting range.
