Key words: Ball mill
Ball mills are widely used in
beneficiation, cement production, building material and
chemical industries. There are two ways of griding, drying type
ore grinding and wet-type ore grinding. Also the ball mill are
classified into grate ball mill and overflow ball mill, by the
different ways of processing methods. As one kind of mineral
processing machine, it is mainly used for milling the materials
into powders. Widely applied to the production of cements,
silicate products, building materials, fireproof materials,
fertilizers, glass, ceramics. Nonferrous and ferrous metal
processing industries are also can used the equipment. It could
carry out dry and wet millings on different materials.
Working Principle
With horizontal, cylindrical and
tubular structure, the ball mill comes with two cabins also
with the structure of grate. Materials are evenly fed into the
inlet device to first ware house where there are step scales
boards, corrugated scale boards and different specifications of
steel balls. When rotating the cylinder, the centrifugal force
causes the steel balls to impact and grind the materials in the
ball mill. Then, the materials will be lead to the second cabin
for further milling until they are turned into powder and are
discharged from the outlet.
Common usage
Minerals should be firstly crushed
by jaw crusher until they are crushed to suitable size.
The suitable sized materials such
like coal ash, sand, stone powder are conveyed to ball mill
though electric vibrating feeder and rubber belt conveyor.
Grinded ash or powder will be delivered to slurry tank for
storage by a coal ash pump.
Lime is conveyed to jaw crusher by
electric vibrating feeder and rubber belt conveyor. The crushed
powder firstly are stored in a limestone storage silo with a
bucket hoister. Then, it is conveyed to ball mill through a
spiral conveyor. Finally, fine grinded materials are delivered
to stock bin through a spiral conveyor and a bucket
lifter.
