European Beech Lumber. Kiln dried ***2%. Steamed. 

Grade AB. 

Origin: South of Russia. 

*0, *0mm thickness, 0.5 - 4.3m length. 

 

Light cream colour, with brown or pink tint. Texture is fine or medium, has some grains.

After steam process the wood has more golden hue and luster. Dries quickly. Anyhow it has high shrinkage.

Widely used for furniture framing and carcass construction, flooring and engineering purposes, in plywood and in household items like plates, as a decorative wood. The sawn timber can be used to build chalets, houses.

Beech is good in processing. It turnes, finishes, glues well.

The drying process of beech wood is a little faster than other hardwood species, and vices after drying are considerably less. After drying, the most improved performance, beech becomes stronger, when bending it in even superior shear resistance and hardness by approximately *0% and significantly - strength under impact loads. Beech wood is treated with steam, easily bent. This feature allows you to use it in the manufacture of bentwood chairs in the furniture industry. Dry density - **0 kg/m3, hardness - 3.8.
