As an acidic polysaccharide, chondroitin sulphate is composed of chondroitin sulphate A, C and various chondroitin sulphate. In cartilage, chondroitin sulphate assists in providing texture, elasticity and moisture binding.

Application: Its usage as below: 

1. Is used for the control of coronary heart disease, angina, myocardial infarction, coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial ischemia etc. No obvious side effects. Can significantly reduce the incidence and mortality of coronary heart disease. 

2. Cures neuropathic pain, nerve migraine headaches, joint pain, arthritis and shoulder joint pain and abdominal pain after surgery.

3. Inhibits the activity of COX*2 and helps remove the wastes within joints and inhibits enzymes that damage cartilage to stop the inflammation of joints. 

4. Has adjuvant therapy effects to Chronic nephritis, chronic hepatitis, keratitis and corneal ulceration. 

5. Has anti-tumor effect. Chondroitin sulfate is also used in cosmetics and as the healing agent of traumatic wound.
