The Cigaronne hollow filter contains Perlite which is a natural substance found in nature. It microfilters the smoke, reducing the levels of tar and nicotine by up to *0% and abosbrs carcinogens which are cancer causing substances. 

By comparison, most conventional cigarette filters only partly filter the smoke from toxic substances. Traditional perforated filters reduce tar andnicotine content by diluting cigarette smoke with air, which creates a milder taste and may give the appearance of being more filtered and therefore less dangerous. These filters are not fully effective because blocking the vents with lips or fingers severely increases tar and nicotine in the smoke.
