DB&LO sources raw minerals for collectors around the globe. Through exposure to both artisanal mining and industrial scale mining projects we have interacted with players at all levels of the mineral supply chain. Actually, the majority of our collectible minerals are byproducts of commercial mining ventures who are looking primarily for other precious metals. The minerals we trade are often viewed as waste by the broader mining industry. When our contacts discover a pocket of mineral they arent actively mining for they contact us. Our criteria for the purchase and sale of minerals is based primarily on aesthetic appeal, and our target market for collectible mineral specimens shares our taste.  

Through exposure to, and familiarity with various facets of the African mining industry, as well as demand expressed by our clients and agents in Asia, weve recently made the pivot into precious metals and in client specific cases, gemstones.

While we are presently focusing on Coltan and aiming to service the immediate, global technology sector demands we foresee in the near future, our partners in Africa are active in various ventures including but not limited to: diamond, gold, copper, platinum, aluminium, bauxite and assorted gemstones (emerald, ruby, tourmaline etc.). While we are based in Hong Kong, we work with local partners in Guinea, Nigeria, Burundi, Rwanda, and the DRC.  

All products are assayed by Alex Stewart International prior to shipping. This cost is typically included in our price and is required for export of raw materials from the countries where our partner mines are located.
