 Cottonseed cake is a high protein by- product from the extraction of oil from cottonseeds. It is the second most valuable product of oilseeds, and accounts for over one-third of the total production.  The amount of oil left in Cottonseed cake after the extraction process affects the energy value of the meal. It is a high protein product and is quite palatable.  Cottonseed cake is sufficient as a sole source of protein for mature ruminants such as -beef, cattle and sheep.
