cumin is white dried fruit with greyish brown colour of a small slender annual herb. the surface of the fruit has five primary ridges, or has four distinct secondary ridges bearing numerous short hairs. it is an annual herbaceous plant, with slender, branched stem that is *0 *0 cm tall and has a diameter of 3 5 cm. each branch has two or three sub branches. the plant is *5 to *0 cm high. all the branches procure same height so that plants have consistent velarium. the seed having beautiful aroma like fruit is elongated, elliptical 3 to 6 mm long, and slightly bitter and has a warm flavour in taste. 

cumin is a flowering plant, native to a region including the middle east and stretching east to india. each seed is contained within a fruit, which is dried and are used in both form whole as well as grounded form in the cuisines of various cultures. also cumin is said to have uses and advantages in traditional medicine, but there is no high quality proof that it is safe or effective as curative substance.
