Product Description

Die steel D2:

Applications:  Standard material for hot forming tools, extrusion tools, forging dies, pressure casting tools, hot shear knives, tools for plastic industry. Also available in EFS and ESR condition where better properties are required.

Condition of delivery:  Soft annealed to max. **9 HB.

Principal Design Features:

1. It is a high- carbon and high- chromium alloy tool steel.
2. It has good wear resistance and size ability after heat treatment.
3. It is suitable for making long-life high-precision cold-work dies.

Applications:

High Wear Cold Work Die Steel D2/1.***9/SKD*1 good toughness and wear resistance, suitable to make the blanking dies with a thickness over 6mm, drawing die etc.
