The frame of locomotive is divided into two chambers – an engine chamber and the main cabin. The drive system uses an internal combustion engine Andoria SW**6 with power *8 kW. This engine with torque converter PH****0, and reversing transmission SB***2 drives the front and rear angle transmission. The main transmission shafts are also angular axes of wheel sets. The locomotive is equipped with traction maneuvering) break based on the hydraulic system and emergency-stop break released with the hydraulic system. Motor speed and driving direction control is done by the hydraulic system, but starting the engine is based on the electric system. The locomotive is equipped with a system for monitoring the efficiency of the driver (dead man's switch), which is cooperating with the emergency-stop break. In the case of the driver taking off his hand from the speed control lever, the spring will return the lever to its neutral position. Engine speed will drop to idle and emergency-stop break will be automatically turned on. The locomotive has a control-warning system which is informing the driver about any problems in any locomotive system. WLP**0EM and WLP**5B Locomotive design is an upgrade of earlier WLP**0 and WLP**5 locomotives. This upgrade includes the following systems: hydraulic, direction and bumper systems. Production of the new locomotives WLP**0EM is

associated with the fulfillment of the provisions of the latest EU directives, for this reason the machine is still under the process of certification.
