DIN 1.***9,AISI D2 Cold WorkTool Steel is versatile high-carbon, high-chromium, air-hardening tool steel that is characterized by a relatively high attainable hardness and numerous, large, chromium-rich alloy carbides in the microstructure.

Heat Treatment:

Forge: at ***0°C****0°C Cool slowly and anneal immediately

Annealing: at **0°C***0°C Cool slowly in furnace

Stress Relieving: at **0°C Cool slowly to **0°C, then freely in air

Hardening: Preheat at **0°C***0°C raise to ***0°C****0°C Cool in air, oil or into salt bath held at **0°C***0°C and then air cool.
