Making fabrics from recycled PET bottles is a significant way to reduce the amount of plastic that need to be buried in landfills or is otherwise left floating in our oceans. It is estimated that for every meter of fabric made of *0% recycled PET, approx. **6 plastic (**0ml) bottles are kept out of landfills. How does this fabric come together? The fiber are made up of recycled PET resins which originate from recycled flakes of discarded PET bottles that are collected and processed in compliance with The Containers and Packing Recycling laws in Japan. The final product. Recycled polyester fiber is combined with normal or organic cotton to produce blended yarn which is then made into yarn dyed or solid dyed fabrics.
