Engine valves
Engine valves are used in engines to intake air and exhaust waste gas. Its divided into intake valve and exhaust valve, according to different application. Intake valve is to inlet air to mix with fuels for combustion,while exhaust valve is to exhaust waste gas and dissipate heat.
 
Engine valves are made of valve disc and valve stem. While discs temperature is very high(intake valve 570~670K,exhaust valve 1050~1200K), it endures the pressure of air, applied force of valve spring and inertia force of transmission part, with low lubrication and refrigeration.Under such a condition, engine valves require good intensity,rigidity,heat-resisting and wear-resisting.The material for intake valve is alloy steel(chrome steel,nickel-chrome steel),while exhaust engine valves is calorite(silicon-chrome steel).
