Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (ECP) is a non-invasive treatment to lower the number and intensity of angina episodes. The idea for EECP comes from the development of the intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP).

Treatment is done through three pairs of external inflatable cuffs that

are applied around the calves, thighs and buttock, which continuously inflate and deflate between the resting periods of each heartbeat and increasing blood volume returned to the heart. ECP helps tiny and micro vessels grow up and works for the entire circulatory system, which other intervention therapies cant achieve.
