Product Description
Ethylene propylene diene monomer（EPDM）is a rubber
processed by combined polymerization of solution of ethane and
propene, and tertiary monomer is introduced. EPDM is basically a
saturated high polymer. It has very good ageing resistance,
weatherability and corrosion-resisting properties.
1. High ageing
resistance: EPDM sealing strip has strong ageing resistance to
hot air, can be used at temperatures from **0℃ to **0℃ for a long
time, can keep effective physical properties at temperatures from
**0℃ to **0℃ for a long pull, and can withstand the high
temperature at temperatures from **0℃ to **0℃ within a short
time.
2. Excellent resistance to ozone: ozone is the main
factor causing chap of common rubber. EPDM possesses excellent
resistance to ozone and is called “non-chap rubber”. In
particular, EPDM is applicable for use in different atmosphere
indexes. Compared with (PVC) sealing strip of rubber, EPDM
exhibits more obvious advantages.
3. Excellent weatherability means the aging of
comprehensive factors of light, heat, freeze, wind, and rain in
natural environment, and ozone in the atmosphere. Excellent
weatherability means the capability of long-term
anti-severe-cold, anti- torridity, anti-desiccation and moisture
resistance. EPDM has small contraction in percent, does not
deform, and can fully realize the same design life as door,
window and curtain wall.
4. Excellent resistance to chemicals. Due to the
chemical stability and nonpolarity of EPDM upon itself, EPDM
rubber strip does not react with chemicals, does not solve or has
small dissolubility among polarity materials. 5. Excellent water
fast, over-heat resistant or water vapor resistant properties:
EPDM belongs to a macromolecule alkyl anhydrous hydrazine, and
possesses “hydrophobicity”. Chemical action between EPDN and
water is not easy to take place. 6. Good elasticity and
persistent compression resistant property.
