KEBS, SASO, KUKAS etc. To help fulfill the responsibility to protect the consumers of respective countries, they have announced the Pre-shipment export verification of Conformity program also called as Conformity Assessment Program (CAP). SGS India Pvt. Ltd. appointed as Certification body on behalf of various Governments or their local Bureau of Standards. SGS offers Certificate Of Conformity ( CoC ) Services for Kenya, Algeria, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran & Russia worldwide Objective of Conformity Assessment Program (CAP): The objective of the CAP is to minimize the risk to importing country of unsafe and sub-standard goods from entering into those countries through the execution of conformity assessment activities in the country of export. This will help ensure that consumers / end users are protected from unsafe and sub-standard goods as well as ensuring that local manufacturers are not subjected to unfair competition from such goods Thus ensuring health, safety and environmental protection for importing countries. Basis of conformity Assessment : To ensure equal national treatment, in line with WTO, all Conformity assessments shall be based on import country standards and technical regulations where they exist. However, in the absence of this, International Standard or technical regulations applicable in the country of supply shall apply.
