Since time immemorial, olive oil has been a staple in the daily life of humanity. It allowed us to bring light to the darkness, it was a healing balm and a pain soother, as well as a divine blessing. In our days, it is presented as an essential condiment in any healthy diet,teeming  with flavour and energy.
It is one of the main components of the Mediterranean Diet, recently acknowledged as Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
 
We are a Portuguese family business committed to the production of extra virgin olive oil. As we know that when seeking a product of excellence care begins in the tree, we take great personal interest in attending to the needs of our olive groves. As our production comes from our harvest, it allows us to keep a strict control of the process of maturation of our olives; all olive groves are visited todetermine the optimal time of harvest, always minding the purpose of obtaining the best olive oil and not the highest oleic yield.
From the beginning we attend to the preparation of our productin order to achieve an exceptional oil, selecting the olives at the moment of pressing, processing them on the same day, down tothe very moment of bottling. Our oil is cold pressed (temperature less than or equal to *7ºC) to preserve the volatile components in the pulp of the fruit, the source of the aroma and taste of olive oil.
 
Extra Virgin Olive Oil Courela Bota Cerva is a superior olive oil, obtained directly from olives of the Galega, Cordovil and Verdeal varieties, in a perfect state of ripeness, and solely by mechanical processes.
