Continuous Filament Mat is a non- woven mat made out of ECR glass laments, consisting of continuous fibres randomly oriented in multiple layers.The glass fibre is bonded with a silane coupling agent and the layers held together with a suitable binder.The CFM products contain an insoluble binder compatible with both unlled or lled unsaturated polyester, vinyl, ester, epoxy and polyurethane resin systems. The CS mat is ideally suited for injection moulding RTM and S-RIM processes. The CM mat has a high rigidity which helps to work with large CFM cuts without loosing fibres. The ex-cellent mechanical properties provided by CM combined with the good electrical properties of the resins make the moulded parts attractive for applica-tions like the electrical apparatus (high voltage), transportation and automotive industries, infrastructures equipments.
