Fin Tube

Product Description

Aluminum fins are formed from a bimetallic tube consisting of a base tube and an aluminum muff tube. The fins are formed on a cold rolling process from the wall thickness of the aluminum muff tube. Extruded fin gives very good corrosion protection to the base tube, as the base tube is not visible to the atmosphere in-between the fins.

Maximum operating temperature for extruded finned tube is **5 deg C.

The most frequently used types of finned tube for Air fin coolers are:

 1. L-fin helical

  Tube material tube: carbon steel, stainless steel

  Fin material: Aluminium

  The ALU-Fin has an L-shaped base, and is in contact with the carbon steel tube itself.

  Working temperature: up to **0°C

 2. Knurled “L” wrap on finned tube - helical

 Tube material: carbon steel, stainless steel

 Fin material: Aluminium

 Working temperature: up to **0°C

 3. G-fin helical

  Tube material: carbon steel, stainless steel

  Fin material: Aluminium

  The ALU-Fin is crimped into a groove in the basic tube.

  Working temperature: up to **0°C

 4. Extruded – Bimetallic - helical

 Material tube: carbon steel

 Material fin: Aluminium

 The fins are extruded from a basic Aluminium-tube that previously encased the carbon steel inner tube.

 Working temperature: up to **0°C

 5. TIG welded finned tube

   Tube material: carbon steel, stainless steel

   Fin material: Aluminium, carbon steel, stainless steel

   High frequency welded tubes for high temperature conditions
