The Fresh Philippine Mango Carabao variety or Manila Super Mango is
delivered as an export grade, fully matured fruit, free from
defective quality and conditions, with a maximum latex burn 5% of
total surface area; Hot water treated for anthracnose (black spots)
control and subject to the following export grading. Prior to
harvest, mangoes are wrapped with brown paper or newsprint two
months after flower induction to prevent insect damages, scabs, and
deformities. Mangoes are harvested after ******5 days to ensure
proper freshness and ripeness of the fruits in time for exporting.
Mangoes are also processed in hot and cold water for *0 and *0
minutes respectively for the best treatment. The finished mangoes
are then individually wrapped in fruit tissue paper individually
and packed in cartons.
