APPLICATION
The FRP pipes can resist the long-term corrosion of various chemical medium such as various acids, alkalis, salts, organic solvents, seawater and sewage. The pipes with different properties can be selected according to different medium types and operating temperatures.
 
◎ Excellent mechanical properties
The FRP pipes have a small specific gravity (1.8~2.1g/cm3) and a high strength (≥**0MPa), whose specific strength is much higher than that of steel pipes and cast iron pipes. Owing to the addition of resin mortar in the middle layer of the pipe wall, it greatly improves pipe stiffness and it is suitable for laying in various soil environments and seabed.
 
◎ Excellent hydraulic properties
The FRP pipes have a very smooth inner surface and low friction resistance (n≤0.***4), which can obviously reduce on-way pressure loss and increase the flow rate. At the same flow rate, the delivery pump with a smaller pipe diameter or low power may be selected, thus reducing the initial engineering investment and energy consumption (lowering the operating cost).
 
◎ Good designability and a wide range of adaption
The design by changing the material, winding angle and laying may be adopted to adapt to different requirements of working pressure, medium and stiffness (or laying depth), so as to manufacture the FRP pipes with different pressure grades and special properties.
 
◎ Pollution resistance and nontoxicity
The smooth inner wall does not scale and breed algae and other microorganisms, and causes no secondary pollution to water quality. The pipes made of food-grade resin can be used to convey drinking water.
 
◎ Less joint and good airtightness
The length of a single FRP pipe is usually *2m. The pipes are connected using double O-rings, and pressure test can be conducted on each connector, which is reliably sealed.
◎ Light weight and easy to transport and install
 
The weight of the FRP reinforced mortar pipework accounts for only 1/4 of that of the ductile cast iron pipe of the same specification and length and 1/*0 of that of cement pipe. It is easy to transport and load and unload, and is characterized by high installation efficiency and low cost.
