General description: heavy lathe model 1A**0 is designed for various lathe work. Processing of steel and cast-iron parts with high-speed steel cutting tools or with carbide-tipped tools can be done on it.

Construction rigidity, high power of main drive, high spindle speed allow performing rough and finish turning operations. 

The following operations can be performed on this heavy lathe: turning of cylindrical surfaces; processing of conical surfaces at longitudinal slide traverse or by combined feed method; metric and inch screw threads cutting of pitch, boring, facing, excision, radius turning and chamfering.
