TZM molybdenum alloy refers to molybdenum alloy containing 0.4~0.6% (wt) of titanium, 0.*8~0.*2% (wt) of zirconium and 0.*2~0.*3% (wt) of carbon, also known as molybdenum titanium zirconium alloy. Both titanium and zirconium play the role of solid solution strengthening and carbide dispersion strengthening in the alloy, and the composite titanium zirconium carbide is more stable at high temperatures than the single titanium carbide, so TZM molybdenum alloy has better high temperature strength and higher recrystallization temperature.
