Long life and the need for no lubrication makes this material very suitable for aviation applications. Silicon Nitride is anti-magnetic and resistant to corrosion by most substances.

Advantages of Si3N4 Ceramic Ball:
It is precision ceramic and formed under non-oxide and ultra high temperature sintering. It can work in seawater for long time with its properties of good strength, good grinding resistance, good heat resistance, good corrosion/acid/alkali resistance. It is also electricity and magnetic isolation. Its hardness and strength are no change under **0°C and its density(3.*0g/cm³) is only 1/3 times than bearing steel. It can be high speed operated with little centrifugal force. It can work under no lubrication and high pollution circumstance with its self-lubrication.
Unlike other ceramic materials, Silicon nitride (Si3N4) is a material with very high resistance to crack propagation.
Silicon nitride balls are used in processing equipment to improve bearing performance. It is lighter, stiffer, smoother, harder, corrosion resistant, require less lubrication, and have a lower thermal expansion than their steel counterparts which allow the bearing to run at higher speeds and higher operational temperatures with lower torque. 
 
Applications of Si3N4 Ceramic Ball:
It is the most preferred material for producing ceramic bearing and hybrid ceramic ball bearing.
