Most of the leather is from fancy women's shoe production. There is kid, calf, cow, etc. Most skins are very clean, approximately 2 1/*- 3 1/2 oz in substance. Much of the leather is tender, meaning that the leather will need to be backed if made into a product as the leather has lost some of its tensile strength.
