Comments: The 1.7″ width is a lot smaller than I pictured it in my head, but as it turns out, it’s the perfect size for the small projects I do; earring wires, chain links, clasps, etc. It weighs just a pinch over a pound, so it does have a tendency to jump around a little while you’re hammering, but if you put it on a rubber block or some leather it should stay still better I imagine, I don’t have either yet though, so I’ve been using a scrap of cardboard to mute the sound some, and using a bit of extra force to hold whatever I’m working on in place. It does seem to pick up marks rather easily, mine already has a few small dings from the hammer slipping off round wire and such, but as I’ve never had an anvil before I’m not sure how it would compare to others.
