1.Tumbling Barrel Test Application: 

The Tumbling Barrel Test simulates repeated falls which may occur to such devices as connectors 

or small remote control units which are normally attached to cables during use.

The Tumbling Barrel Test is the recommended instrument to perform such a test. A barrel is turned 

at a rate of five revolutions per minute resulting in ten falls per minute. The sample falls from a height 

of **0mm on to steel plate that is 3mm thickand backed by *9mm thick hardwood. The number of falls 

is set by the user in accordance to thestandard they are meeting. After the tumble barrel procedure, 

the specimen is checked visually,mechanically, and electrically as prescribed in the relevant specification

2.Tumbling Barrel Test Specification:

Tumbling Barrel Test is made to the specifications set forth in major international standards. 

Tumbling Barrel Test employs a large clear acrylic access door for easy viewing and access to 

the chamber. Models are offered with a standard barrel with a drop height of **0mm. Barrels of 

other sizes are available as well for standards such as IEC ****2 or DIN ****2 where a drop height 

of **0mm (or ***0mm)is required.
