~INCOLOY® alloy A***6 (UNS S****6/W. Nr.1.***0) is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and titanium. It is agehardenable for high mechanical properties. The alloy maintains good strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to about ***0°F (**0°C).

 Incoloy alloy A***6 make the alloy useful for various components of aircraft and industrial gas turbines. It is also used for fastener applications in automotive engine and manifold components subject to high levels of heat and stress and in the offshore oil and gas industry.

Alloy A***6 is designed for applications requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance at temperatures up to ***0 °F(**4 °C). This alloy offers high ductility in notched sections. In fact, the notched rupture strength of alloy A***6 is superior to many other commercial alloys with comparable high temperature properties. An advantage of this alloy is that it can be precipitation hardened and strengthened by heat treatments. This makes possible a high degree of uniformity in developing maximum strength, which can be duplicated application after application.

Corrosion resistance                                                                                                 

The nickel and chromium contents of INCOLOY alloy A***6

provide resistance to corrosion and oxidation. The alloy has excellent resistance to oxidation at service te peratures up to about ***0°F (**0°C).

Application field :                                                                                                      

Alloy A***6 has been used in jet engines,superchargers and various high temperature applications such as turbine wheels and blades,frames,casings,afterburner parts and fasteners .
