Appearance:White granular powder, melting at about **0degrees centigrade. Gradually darkenson exposure to light and/or heat, reasonably stable in air when dry, but deteriorates in solution in thepresence of air. One gram is soluble in about 3ml of water and in about *0ml of alcohol. It is insolublein chloroform, in ether, and in benzene.
