Introduction:
Palm kernel husk or Palm kernel shell are the shell fractions left
after the nut has been removed after crushing in the Palm Oil mill.
They are solid fuel, torrefaction extracted from bio energy. PKH or
PKS can produce more heat than other biofuel in the process of
combustion. But the carbon emission is very low than other biofuel.
Activated Carbon produced from palm kernel
shell can be used as an adsorbent. Biomass energy which
is another form of renewable energy source is derivable from
it.
