Pneumatic Tubing is one of the fastest growing product lines that HFS has to offer its customers. This flexible polyurethane based product, with its high-durometer characteristics, has proven to be of the utmost quality and therefore the preferred choice of its patrons. HFS has afforded its customers the options of traditional tubing as well as coiled tubing in both Metric and Imperial sizes.

Polyurethane is comprised of two basic materials：isocyanate and polyol.

There are two general classes of polyurethane and both are commonly found in the market: ether-base and esterbase. Chemically, these are made from two different polyol alcohols that cause similar, but different reactions in the isocyanate. From the user’s standpoint, the esterbased polymer is less expensive.

However, it degrades when exposed to moisture. We manufacture HFS® polyurethane tubing using the etherbased material. Our tubing has a high resistance to abrasion while being highly flexible and kink resistant. Its most notable quality though is its “memory.”
