The product is entirely herbal and safe on the skin and has medical properties. It is used as dye on all types of yarn and fabrics. Indigo dye comes in the form of cakes. It can be powdered if specified. The production season for Indigo dye is from August to December. The Indigo Leaves are used to make hair dye as well as prepare medicated hair oil. The process is like that of vat dyes. The dye has to be dissolved in reduced state, then oxidized to get the shade blue. Colors Imparted Blue. Production Process We produce eco-friendly Indigo Dye (natural), by extracting it from the plant �Indigofera Tinctoria". We have mastered this ancient famed craft. The process of manufacturing indigo dyes includes the following steps: � The fully grown plant is cut and soaked in tanks of length *4ft and breadth *4ft depth 2 � feet. � After *8 hours of soaking, the green color of the leaves comes out of the leaves and lies mixed with water. This leaves-extract along with the water is led into another tank of similar dimensions and oxidized by agitating the green water by kicking with the legs. � This manual process continues for about 1 hour to one and a half hour, By then, the green leaf extract turns blue in color and thickens noticeably. This thick Gravy is transferred into a copper vessel and boiled at a high temperature for one hour. then it is poured into moulds. One important fact has to be pointed out namely, no other substance except Indigo leaves are used. This **0% natural dye is safe for the skin and good for physical and mental health. The natural blue color is said to have a calming effect on the mind of the wearer. The leaves are used to prepare hair dye and hair oil.
