Country of origin: Peru, South America.
Botanical name : Chenopodium quinoa Willdenow.

Quinoa has excellent reserves of protein, more than any other grain, and contains the 8 essential amino acids necessary for the human body. Quinoa is rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, folic acid, potassium and riboflavin (vitamin B2).

Low glycemic index. Gluten-free. Easy to Prepare.

SENSORIC SPECIFICATION: Appearance: Beige, discoidal, round seed with visible germ bud. Other colors like red and black quinoa are also available. Odour: Aromatic, no foreign odour Taste: Mild aromatic, not rancid, not old nor bitter, no foreign taste Free from any off-flavours or excessive saponins.

ORGANIC CERTIFICATIONS : USDA-NOP, Control Union-EU, JAS. The product is also kosher.
 
Our quinoa grains are pre-washed to remove the bitter-tasting saponin coating, optically selected to remove all black tips and processed/packed in a HACCP and GMP certified facility in Peru. PACKAGING: *2.5 kg or *5kg multi wall paper bags (bulk presentation) or **0g cartonettes (retail presentation). Also available : net weight **0g quinoa in sealed transparent bags.

Private label service available with minimum run requirement. SHELF LIFE: *4 months with proper storage (cool, dry and dark).
