Use mounting brackets to raise the condensation unit to ground level for multi floor installation. As an alternative to floor mats, some consumers find that the use of mounting brackets helps to better place versatility and provide better protection against dirt, snow, dirt, water, damage, etc.

- The horizontal arms angled upward so much, my mini-split compressor tilted backward noticeably when mounted on a perfectly level cinder block wall. I spent a good deal of time leveling the arms, drilling new holes and adding four 1/4" stainless steel bolts where each bracket joins its vertical support to level it, front-to-back. (Customer Images show those bolts). If you dont mind your compressor tilting backward several degrees, this wouldnt be an issue.

- For a device that's to be mounted outside, zinc coated steel hardware is a poor choice, as it will seriously rust in no time. I used stainless steel and aluminum hardware instead.

- the Amazon photo shows a white bracket, which would have matched our house trim. This one is a cream color *- similar to buttermilk. Daps caulk color clay is a perfect match.

Pros:

- easy to level the top steel piece side-to-side when installing, plus this design makes the unit stronger than the types that only include the support brackets.

- the long slotted holes were positioned fine to mount a Pioneer *8,**0 btu mini-split unit.

- the steel used is *2 gauge (0.**0" thick), which is plenty strong for the purpose.

- the paint quality appears to be fine (although one support did have some chipped paint on the edge).

- includes four thick hard rubber vibration bumpers with 5/*6 bolts molded in for mounting a mini-split unit. (I didnt use them though, as the zinc plated steel would soon rust - then, youd have great difficulty removing the rusted hardware.) I used rust-proof hardware instead.

- overall, the bracket is functional, plenty sturdy to support a mini-split, and should last a good number of years.

Summary:

The bracket arms need a practical method of front-to-back leveling, adjustable after mounting. The included 5/*6" threaded rod that can be used to push the bottom of each bracket out from the wall is ridiculous; and of course, the hardware should be stainless steel.
