Peat pellets, like wood
pellets, can be used in power and heating plants to upgrade the
main fuel or to replace coal. In power plants the easiest way to
use pellets is to mix them with another fuel at the reception bay.
But the highest efficiency is achieved by having a separate small
feeder silo to dose the pellets into the fuel feed system just
before the boiler.
Peat pellets
are made from ordinary milled fuel peat.Peat pellets are equivalent
to wood pellets. Peat
pellets are a little more
ash, but the other
characteristics are the same.
