REACTION INJECTION MOLDING-RIM, is a new process for Rapid Tooling Production. After the mixing of the Polyurethane materials, then inject the mixed materials into the rapid mold under the room temperature and low pressure environment, according to the chemical and physical reaction of the polymerization, crosslinking, solidification of the materials, the part is molded.

THE MAKING OF BIG SIZE AND ULTRA THIN COVER PARTS

Rich experience of mold design, exact control of the flow amount and solidification of the reaction molding, combining the excellent flowability of the PU materials, it becomes possible at KAIAO to make the high hardness and high strength mold with the wall thickness **6 mm, the reached ratio between wall thickness and flow length is uncomparable with the thermoplastics. In addition, the firm connection with the metal firmware (such as precast threaded sleeve), can provide the excellent stability and functionality for the entire shell, and make the production of big size and complex part more economical.
