RAPOCEM

RAPOCEM IS A SPECIAL PURPOSE, RAPID HARDENING PORTLAND CEMENT THAT IS IDEAL FOR STRUCTURAL CONCRETE, PRECAST CONCRETE, THE MANUFACTURE OF CEMENT-BASED PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS WHERE EARLY STRENGTH GAIN IS REQUIRED.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

RAPOCEM is chemically similar to GREYCEM, but the clinker is more finely ground to achieve the higher early strengths. Grinding is controlled to ensure consistent performance in the *2,5R strength class.

APPLICATIONS

RAPOCEM can be used in all applications where a higher rate of strength gain is required. Some of the reasons for using RAPOCEM are as follows:
Allows earlier stripping of formwork and moulds.
&#x***2; Assists in counteracting the effects of cold weather
&#x***2; Allows faster launching or sliding rates in continuous concrete applications
&#x***2; Gives higher early strengths for a given cement content.
&#x***2; Gives higher early strengths for a given cement content.

RAPOCEM can be used to counter the lower early strength gain normally experienced when using GREYCEM or some of the blended cements.

RAPOCEM is compatible with commercial chemical admixtures.

RAPOCEM is manufactured to EN****1 for Common Cements in the *2,5R strength class, and is identified as:

STORAGE

Bulk storage silos should be inspected on a regular basis to ensure that the inspection hatch seal is watertight and filters are clean and unblocked. Cement bags are not weatherproof and should be stored undercover, off the ground to a maximum height of *2 bags.
