CRP is a kind of acute phase reactive protein synthesized in the liver. It is widely distributed in the human body, mainly in the blood,and also exists in the ascites, pleural effusion, pericardial fluid and joint fluid. The normal people have lower CRP levels, and will be influenced by age, exercise, diet and other factors. CRP will be increased rapidly when inflammation, infection, tissue damage or malignant tumors 6 - 8h, *4 - *8h reaches to top, acute phase concentration can even increased to hundreds or thousands of times higher, increased value and the disease severity was positively correlated, and will not be the effects by radiotherapy, radiotherapy,chemotherapy, drug factors.


The concentration of CRP will significantly increased when patients was bacterial infection, while virus infected patients almost will not increased. CRP is of great significance for the rapid and accurate identification of bacterial infections and viral infections, and has a positive significance for reducing the abuse of antibiotics.
