a. high refractoriness under load. The refractoriness is higher
than fireclay bricks and much higher of the refractoriness under
load with more content of alumina.
b. Thermal shock resistance: The thermal shock resistance for the
ordinary high alumina bricks are largely depends on the mineral
composition and chemistry microstructure. High alumina bricks
thermal shock resistance is worse than that of fireclay bricks.
c. Chemical erosion resistance: High alumina bricks have good
resistance to acid, alkali slag, erosion of liquid metal. In
addition, they has good performance of oxidation reduction
reaction.
