Faults of Rolling bearing:

1. The bearing temperature is too high .

When the bearing works , installation position can have  a certain temperature . When you touch its shell,   it won ' t be too hot , otherwise it indicates that the bearing temperature is too high. The following is the reason:

1)  L ubric ating  oil   do es n ' t conform to the requirement  or goes bad.

2)  L ubricating oil viscosity is too high .

3)  A ssembly is too tight (lack of space) .

4)  B earing cage ,ball or roller breaks.

5)  Overload.

2. B earing noise

Rolling  bearing  allow a slight noise at work, if the noise is too big  or unusual noise or crash, it indicates the bearinghas  fault. The following is the reason:

1)  B earing inner ring or outer ring   surface wear .

2)  W hen the bearing fatigue, its surface metal flake s.

3)  L ack of bearing lubrication  oil , dry friction .

4)  L oose or damaged bearing cage .

5)  Broken bearing.

Bearing damage

The reason of rolling bearing fault and damage can be judged according to bearing damage condition.

1. The surface metal of raceway will flake after it run many circles.If overloading,it will increase Fatigue and damage. Unsuitable installation or shaft bending also can cause raceway surface breakage. Breakage of raceway will decrease axis running accuracy, and this will bring noise and vibration.

2. Bearing burn

Burning bearing raceway and rolling elements have temper color. Lubrication oil quality doesn ' t meet the requirement,or assembly is too tight,which can cause bearing burn.

3. Plastic deformation

There are uneven pits on surface of bearing raceway and rolling elements. The reason is that bearing is in the powerful static load or impact load, the part stress of working surface exceeds the material yield limit.It generally occurs on low-speed rotation bearing.

4. Bearing cage break

The reason is short of lubrication oil,broken rolling elements , or askew race.

5. The metal of bearing cage adheres to the rolling elements.

1) Rolling elements are stuck in the bearing cage.

2) Short of lubricating oil.

6. Raceway serious damage

1)  There are foreign body in bearing race.

2)  Short of lubricating oil.

3)  Lubricating oil grade isn ' t suitable.
