Royal jelly is a creamy, sharp-smelling, and aromatic bee product secreted by worker bees aged ***5 days, used to feed larvae during their young stage and the queen bee.

While queen bees live for nearly 4 years, worker bees have a lifespan of only 6 weeks. Although worker bees are also female, they cannot lay eggs, whereas the queen bees ovaries are developed, allowing her to lay between 1,**0 and 2,**0 eggs in the hive daily. These physiological differences between worker bees and the queen bee are due to royal jelly.

The composition of royal jelly includes proteins (*5%), fats, carbohydrates, vitamins (A, D, E, C, B complex), and minerals (phosphorus, potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium). Additionally, it contains an organic acid known as **-HDA, a fatty acid. Royal jelly with a **-HDA content of 1.8% is classified as high-quality royal jelly.
